Today is the last day to join the 9th Turbulence Training Transformation Contest, so if you’ve been thinking about joining then now is the time to make up your mind.
I’ve joined the competition once again, and this time I’m going to nail it.
It’s been a while since I worked out properly, so I’ve decided to start the first few weeks slowly with some bodyweight exercises – just to get my muscles and joints used to working out again.
Yesterday I did something stupid – I went running. It was a good 4K run/walk, and my legs felt less stiff compared to the 2 previous runs I had this week.
Now running 4K isn’t really the issue – the issue was that I didn’t fit it in properly with my planned workouts – and the workout I did this morning was predominantly lower body bodyweight exercises (Workout A from Craig’s BW mini-circuit workout).
I managed to do 2 circuits, and at the end of the second my legs were shaking and burning.
There just wasn’t anymore juice left in the legs.
So, lesson learned: Never let my off-day’s light activity be running when I know there’s some hard lower body bodyweight exercises the next day.
Since Sunday 12th I’ve gone from 94.9 kilo to 93.2 kilo which really is to be expected. The first week after you start paying attention to what you eat and how much of it you eat the weight just drops. A few weeks from now it will have reached a steady level and I can start to make some educated guesses about how far behind or ahead I am of my weight loss goal.
The plan is to lose 14.9 kilo in 12 weeks – and with 11 weeks and 93.2 kilo to go I need to get rid of 1.2 kilo each week for the rest of the competition.
It will be hard work for sure – I’m especially expecting the last few kilo to be significantly harder to get rid of than the first few kilos.
But I know I will reach that goal because I’ve decided that I want to reach it.
It might sound stupid or weird, but just having a goal without deciding that you want to reach it makes it less of a goal and more of a wish.
