Double -> Triple body transformation contest

Winner Turbulence Training Transformation Contest #7

Here’s a neat extra bonus for you if you were planning to do the double transformation contest by doing Craig Ballantyne’s 12 week Turbulence Training Transformation Contest at the same time as Joel Marion’s 5×5 day Xtreme Fat Loss Diet XFLD challenge.

Craig has added an additional 5 week mini-contest that runs “within” the current 12-week challenge.

So now it’s actually possible to enter 3 fitness and weight loss contests at the same time.

But you have to make up your mind right now because the latest start for this triple combo is only a few days away.

My recommendation is to start hard with 5 XFLD 5-day cycles for the diet part and pick the most fat burning TT workouts.

After the first 25 days (3 and a half week) you’ll be done with the most radical weight loss part (XFLD contest).

After another 1 and a half week you’ll be done with the 5-week Turbulence Training mini-challenge which will get you a tremendous weight loss result.

If you’re close to your goal weight then I would recommend to substitute the weight loss workouts with more body sculpting exercises. If you still have a decent amount of fat you need to get rid of then just stay with the fat burning exercises.

After 7 more weeks you’ll be done with the 12-week contest.

By doing three competitions at the same time you’ll not only work less, but you’ll also have the benefit of being able to fail one part and still complete the other contests.

XFLD really is an extreme fat loss diet, so you might fail to follow through or fail to follow it to the letter, but you’ll still have both the 5 and 12 week transformation contests to complete.

Or if you get a setback in the first 5 weeks because of injuries for instance then you’ll still have time to make up for lost time and finish strong at the end of week 12.

Burn the Fat Summer Challenge is nearly here

May 25th, 2010 by Henrik Flensborg

Craig, Vince and Joel are not the only ones launching transformation contests – Tom Venuto also just announced a 14 week summer transformation contest.

The first prize is a trip to Maui – with a 6 night stay at a cool hotel + other perks.

And unlike the other transformation contests Tom have several categories you can try to win.

There’s Most Inspirational, Most Ripped, Best body recomposition, Most supportive and Top team.

Registration for the contest has already started and it’s open until May 30th, so you have little under a week to decide if you want to join Tom’s challenge.

I haven’t tried Tom’s fat burning and muscle building program myself because I already have Craig’s Turbulence Training (which is predominently exercise), Brad’s Eat Stop Eat (which is exclusively focused on the diet part of the equation) and Joel’s Xtreme Fat Loss Diet (which is both diet and workout plans, but only for short 5×5 day periods)

But one thing I know, and that is that it’s much easier to stick to the plan once you’ve committed yourself to a challenge, joined a support forum and taken your before pictures.

There’s nothing more powerful than popping into the forum to post your diet and exercise stats for the day, reading the answer to a calorie question you asked the day before, venting your frustration with lack of progress or temporary setbacks and supporting someone else who needed a bit of moral support.

My newest fat loss diet is on

May 17th, 2010 by Henrik Flensborg

Yesterday I started both the XFLD and TT contests.

My body fat scale said 22% body fat which is 2% higher than half a year ago, so following a fat loss diet and not just an exercise program is very much needed.

XFLD is with its extreme approach more rapid than healthy I think, but I have no problems following the program because it’s only for 5*5 days at a time.

I don’t if I think the best part about Xtreme Fat Loss Diet is the cheat day or the fast day – the cheat day where you eat ample amounts of your favorite foods is obviously one of the selling points of the diet, but I don’t really have any must-have high calorie foods that I long for.

So maybe it really is the day of fasting that I like the best.

There’s no real preparation needed (except for calculating your BCAA needs), no cooking, no shopping – just water and tea.

My BCAA’s haven’t arrived yet, so I’ll be going through at least the first fast day without any. I’m not worried though because I’ve worked out on fast days before without any problems. But will be interesting to see if the BCAA’s really does make a difference once they arrive.

The plan was to do Clash of the Titans, but I wasn’t near a gym yesterday, so I dug out some of the TT BW exercises instead and worked out at home.
