Hi,
I'm home sick - nothing serious, just a cold - but it meant that I watched some morning TV today.
The host interviewed two 15-year-old girls who had started making earrings out of tin cans and other recycled material.
They started a year ago, just for fun, but then got the idea that they would try and sell their earrings.
Today there are three shops who carry their collection and when asked how they did it the girls said: "we basically just took our earrings, went into the shops and asked them. The worst thing that could have happened was that we got a 'No', but then we would know [if nobody wanted to sell the earrings]".
Point of this story is to just go ahead and do it.
It's only way to know for sure if something will work or not.
You might think that it *will* work or you might think that it *won't* work, but it's only when you try it that you will be certain.
But the story doesn't end there for the girls.
Somebody in the fashion magazine industry picked up some of their earrings and suddenly their products were featured in two different magazines - hanging from the ears of beautiful face models.
And this got the attention of the television media, so they ended up being interviewed on national TV.
So what did the girls get?
- A hobby turned into a (small) money-maker - Three stores selling their stuff - Free coverage in two fashion magazines - Free publicity on national TV
And this chain of events wouldn't have happened if it weren't for their drive and the belief of "the worst thing we can get is a 'No'".
So, what about *your* life or *your* business?
Have you any ideas or projects that are just sitting there waiting to magically come to life and succeed by themselves?
If you look forward 6 months from now and you haven't done anything to breathe life into these projects how do you think they are doing? - are they still just ideas?
Now look forward 6 months presuming that you do something *right now* to go after your goals. What do you expect to have happened?
When you compare these two scenarios which do you prefer to be the future that you will experience?
Now, as I wrote this I thought about mentioning Jay Abraham's two-session teleconference Super Summit called " How to Turn The Internet Into an Overflowing Cash Machine!", but I decided not to.
I figured that if I told you about this teleconference, then I would also have to tell you about all the other teleconferences I come across.
And I would also have to tell you about all the seminars I hear about, tell you about new books, ebooks, software and services that cross my path.
In the end I think that the stuff I really wanted to share with you would down in announcements - and I don't want that to happen.
So I set up a page at http://growth-focus.com/l with 4 different announcement lists.
So if you want to be kept informed these are the lists you should choose between.
Growth Focus will continue to be the same.
Sorry, strike that.
Growth Focus will continue to evolve and grow with the focus of enabling you to perform better, achieve more, live true to your real goals and generally strive to empower you to experience excellence in whatever you think, do or feel in your personal as well as business life.
To your wealth and growth

P.S. feedback@growth-focus.com is where I'll be sitting, waiting for your email. Was this issue useful or useless? - Is there an important topic that you think I should cover that would enable you to move past some of the things you imagined stood between your present situation and the dreams and goals you have for the future?
