My newest fat loss diet is on

May 17th, 2010 by Henrik Flensborg

Yesterday I started both the XFLD and TT contests.

My body fat scale said 22% body fat which is 2% higher than half a year ago, so following a fat loss diet and not just an exercise program is very much needed.

XFLD is with its extreme approach more rapid than healthy I think, but I have no problems following the program because it’s only for 5*5 days at a time.

I don’t if I think the best part about Xtreme Fat Loss Diet is the cheat day or the fast day – the cheat day where you eat ample amounts of your favorite foods is obviously one of the selling points of the diet, but I don’t really have any must-have high calorie foods that I long for.

So maybe it really is the day of fasting that I like the best.

There’s no real preparation needed (except for calculating your BCAA needs), no cooking, no shopping – just water and tea.

My BCAA’s haven’t arrived yet, so I’ll be going through at least the first fast day without any. I’m not worried though because I’ve worked out on fast days before without any problems. But will be interesting to see if the BCAA’s really does make a difference once they arrive.

The plan was to do Clash of the Titans, but I wasn’t near a gym yesterday, so I dug out some of the TT BW exercises instead and worked out at home.

XFLD and TT transformation contest combo

May 14th, 2010 by Henrik Flensborg

A few days ago Joel Marion mentioned that he would be holding a 25 day XFLD transformation contest.

I’m already going to enter Craig Ballantyne’s 8th transformation contest, so I was naturally curious to know if it would be ok for me to use the diet part of Xtreme Fat Loss Diet and then use the special XFLD workout program that Craig put together specifically for XFLD instead of the workouts by John Romaniello in the XFLD Training Manual.

So I sent an email to the XFLD support team and got this answer: “yes, absolutely – we’ll be sending full details tomorrow.”

This was perfect news for me – 2 competitions running in parallel = half the effort needed compared to running them one after the other.

And I could just stick to my original plan of mixing regular Turbulence Training workouts with Clash of the Titans and use the diet part of XFLD for some of the weeks.

Today Joel sent out another email about the competition and the prizes are absolutely awesome.

The winner will get $1000, there’s $500 for finishing 2nd and $250 for 3rd place. There will be picked 3 male and 3 female winners.

But the money isn’t even the best thing in my opinion.

There is Platinum memberships to the Turbulence Training membership site, 9 DVD’s from Vince Del Monte, a subscription to Joel’s print newsletter as well as supplementation packages from Prograde to all the winners.

All you have to do is buy XFLD, take a before shot before June 3rd and an after shot no later than June 28th and submit a 300 word minimum essay.

If you want to take part in the same double-whammy workout and fat loss competition as me then you have a maximum of 14 days to get ready since the Turbulence Transformation Contest must be started no later than May 31st.

Getting started with Turbulence training is relatively simple because the workouts are laid out in a no-nonsense way, so expect to spend no more than a day reading through the manual and picking the specific workouts you want to follow. Plus, people in the transformation part of the TT members forum will be more than willing to guide you to the most effective workouts.

With XFLD it gets a bit trickier since there’s no online community. My personal advice as an owner of the XFLD system is to spend at least two days/evenings getting through the manual and planning your meals and shakes for the first 5 day XFLD cycle.

I got delayed with my own start of the TT contest because we just got a new horse, so absolutely perfect for since I can now start both competitions at the same time.

My initial plan that started with ESE for a few weeks before using XFLD will be changed so I start off both competitions at the same time. This will give me the most noticeable weight loss.

And if XFLD lives up to its promise of 25 lbs fat loss in 25 days then I’ll most likely be at my goal weight of 80 kilo 3 and a half week into the competions and can spend the remaining 8 and a half weeks getting really lean, fit and muscular for the final TT after pictures.

So, my new schedule will be like this:

Week 1: XLFD / Clash of the Titans

Week 2: XLFD / Clash of the Titans

Week 3: XFLD / Clash of the Titans

Week 4: XFLD / Clash of the Titans + ESE / TBD

Week 5: ESE / TBD

Week 6: ESE / TBD

Week 7: ESE / TBD

Week 8: ESE / TBD

Week 9: ESE / TBD + XFLD / Clash of the Titans

Week 10: XFLD / Clash of the Titans

Week 11: XFLD / Clash of the Titans

Week 12: XFLD / Clash of the Titans

Here’s my 12 week workout and diet plan

Turbulence Training Clash of the Titans

Turbulence Training Clash of the Titans

Right now I’m fleshing out the next 12 weeks diet and exercise plans.

I grabbed my copy of XFLD through Craig Ballantyne’s affiliate link to get my hands on the special workout program he tailor made for XFLD.

This is my current planning for the next 12 weeks:

Week 1: ESE / TT 2K9

Week 2: XLFD / Clash of the Titans

Week 3: XFLD / Clash of the Titans

Week 4: XFLD / Clash of the Titans

Week 5: ESE / TBD

Week 6: ESE / TBD

Week 7: ESE / TBD

Week 8: ESE / TBD

Week 9: XFLD / Clash of the Titans

Week 10: XFLD / Clash of the Titans

Week 11: XFLD / Clash of the Titans

Week 12: XFLD / Clash of the Titans

When I put this plan together I worked my way backwards and put the 25 day XFLD diet period right at the end.

Turbulence Training Bodyweight Bodybuilding

Turbulence Training Bodyweight Bodybuilding

Before that I put in a 4 week period because Joel recommended a 4 week break between each of the 25 day periods.

The diet during that period will follow ESE with 2 fast days per week.

I’m yet to decide which TT workout I’ll follow in those 4 weeks, but I might go for BDHC or AAA Abs.

Just before the ESE period I’ll do 3 weeks (4 XFLD cycles) following Clash of the Titans.

The reason I’m not starting out with a full 4 weeks of XFLD is simply because there’s just not enough time for me to digest the information in XFLD and properly prepare before tomorrow morning when I’m starting.

So instead I’m starting out with TT 2K9 because it’s one of the workouts I’ve done before and I don’t have to learn the proper form for a new exercise first.

The first week will be an ESE week as well.

Once I’m done reading through XFLD I’ll return with a preliminary XFLD review – once I’m done with the 3 weeks of XFLD I’ll be back again with an intermediate review and once the entire 12 week transformation contest is over and I’ve been through 9 XFLD cycles I’ll be back once more with a final review of XFLD.
