Vote for your favorite body – hot chicks and buff dudes ahead

December 16th, 2009 by Henrik Flensborg

Turbulence TrainingIt’s time once again to cast your vote for the Turbulence Training Transformation Contest finalists.

This is the 6th 12-week transformation contest that Craig Ballantyne has arranged.

I’ve got two recommendations for you that I want you to do right now.

First I think you should go and look at the before and after photos of the Male, Female and Advanced finalists – and read their essays as well.

The visual transformation as stunning as it is really pales in comparison to the personal transformations that these finalists have gone through during the 12 weeks of the competition.

Next I want you to cast your vote – all the finalists (and those who wasn’t picked as finalists) have put alot of work into getting to where they are now, and they really deserve to have lots of votes cast on them.

Thirdly I want you to consider signing up to become a Turbulence Training member yourself if you A) is overweight, B) want to lose weight and C) wouldn’t mind strengthening and toning your body in the process.

I fully stand behind my recommendation of Turbulence Training as a very effective and varied workout program.

In the 5th transformation contest I myself was a finalist, so I know first hand how effective Craigs programs was for me.

So, go check out the finalists, cast your vote and think about making a commitment to let 2010 be the year when you got back into shape and lost those dangerous extra kilo and pounds.

First TT workout tonight

May 6th, 2009 by Henrik Flensborg

Will have my first TT workout tonight – planned to have done my first on Monday, but that failed, then planned to do it yesterday, and failed again, but tonight I can’t see anything getting in the way.

I did something really scary this Monday.

I had my “before” pictures taken.

Not a pretty sight, but a piece of the commitment and motivation puzzle.

And I didn’t even keep them a secret ( you know, keep them secret and only publisize them if I ace the competition) – they are out there for everybody to see and that adds a tremendous amount of motivation.

I took the plunge

May 1st, 2009 by Henrik Flensborg

I took the plunge and registered for Craig Ballantyne’s 12-Week Transformation Contest and bought Turbulence Training as well.

Unfortunately I didn’t win any of the 4 prizes Craig ended up giving out in the Motivation Contest :-(

But writing it all down really made me realize how much I really need to loose weight and get back into the same shape I was in 25 years ago.

Around X-mas last year I realized that I needed to lose weight and I started eating differently and began riding my mountain bike twice a week.

It was also around X-mas that I started looking into different diet and exercise programs.

Then in January I did an 8-day Master Cleanse – weight that I’ve kept off.

February was when I had my health checkup and went home with a report that had me flagged “red” for cholesterol, triglycerides, body fat percentage, wait line and VO2MAX.

And that made me realize once more that I needed to lose more weight and get in significantly better form than what my mountain bike riding had gotten me into.

That was when I signed up for a gym membership for the first time in my life.

After having started working out in the gym I then tested Eat Stop Eat to see if that could help me break through a weight plateau I had gotten to around 100 kilo.

It worked absolutely fine and it helped me break through the 100 kilo limit without changing my diet.

But after having tested Eat Stop Eat I went back to my normal way of living again.

It was as if the reality hadn’t hit me hard enough since I was able to slack on the healthy eating I had begun and I let my 3-days-a-week visits to the gym get sidetracked by other projects.

But after I posted my comment to Craigs Motivation Contest I realized (for the 3rd time) that I needed to lose weight and gain back my health.

It was first when I actually put my reasons for getting rid of that extra fat in writing that it hit home.

It was the first time I actually felt a connection to what was previously just an abstract thing – namely losing weight and getting fit.

So, if you need to lose weight and get in shape feel free to join me in the Transformation Contest that start Monday May 4th.

If you’re not really up for publicly posting your “before picture” then consider just getting the Turbulence Training manual and a 3 month access to the Turbulence Training members forum.

I can guarantee that I’ll get back with a review of both the actual Turbulence Training manual and all the bonus material that came with it and the forum itself.

Initially the forum looks very promising.

Craig have managed to make 12.58 post per day since he registered his own user on the forum in November 2006, so I guess you can say that he’s activelt involved in helping people getting the most out of his training programs.

Another brief look at the members list showed 10594 registered users, with the most “inactive” of the top 30 user having made 596 forum posts.

This alone gives the impression of a very active forum and with plenty of “senior members” who know the workouts inside out.

I’m off now to read the manual so I know where to start Monday morning right after I capture and send in my “before picture” for the Transformation Contest.

Wish me luck (and strength, backbone and determination)
