Free anabolic slow down assessment tool from Brad Pilon and John Barban

June 7th, 2010 by Henrik Flensborg

Have you ever felt like you have hit an anabolic standstill where your muscle building just seem plateau for no reason whatsoever?

Well if that’s the case, then Brad Pilon and John Barban have a neat free anabolic slow down assessment tool – and they’re throwing a 1-hour teleseminar this Thursday on the same subject

The assessment tool takes age, workout history, different muscle mass measurements and strength numbers into consideration when assessing how likely it is that you’re suffering from anabolic slow down.

I have no idea how accurate this is because I don’t have anything to reference this against, but knowing the detailed knowledge Brad has about protein and muscle building (or muscle loss) I have no doubt that this is as accurate as it can be.

Burn the Fat Summer Challenge is nearly here

May 25th, 2010 by Henrik Flensborg

Craig, Vince and Joel are not the only ones launching transformation contests – Tom Venuto also just announced a 14 week summer transformation contest.

The first prize is a trip to Maui – with a 6 night stay at a cool hotel + other perks.

And unlike the other transformation contests Tom have several categories you can try to win.

There’s Most Inspirational, Most Ripped, Best body recomposition, Most supportive and Top team.

Registration for the contest has already started and it’s open until May 30th, so you have little under a week to decide if you want to join Tom’s challenge.

I haven’t tried Tom’s fat burning and muscle building program myself because I already have Craig’s Turbulence Training (which is predominently exercise), Brad’s Eat Stop Eat (which is exclusively focused on the diet part of the equation) and Joel’s Xtreme Fat Loss Diet (which is both diet and workout plans, but only for short 5×5 day periods)

But one thing I know, and that is that it’s much easier to stick to the plan once you’ve committed yourself to a challenge, joined a support forum and taken your before pictures.

There’s nothing more powerful than popping into the forum to post your diet and exercise stats for the day, reading the answer to a calorie question you asked the day before, venting your frustration with lack of progress or temporary setbacks and supporting someone else who needed a bit of moral support.

I’m tempted to buy No-Nonsense Muscle Building

February 19th, 2009 by Henrik Flensborg

I’ve never been one to pursue a body builder figure, but this past week I’ve been doing a lot of reading, listening and watching to Vince DelMonte and his No-Nonsense Muscle Building and Your Six-Pack Quest.

And I’m more and more tempted to buy the No-Nonsense Muscle Building program (or package rather since there’s a truckload of additional bonus materials).

I’ve lost 13 kilo since just after X-mas when I started riding my mountainbike (including my first Master Cleanse Diet) and this week the whole family have begun eating a lot healthier than what we used to do.

My stomach is visibly smaller and my jeans have a “loose fit” now, but I’m feeling there’s something missing.

It seems to me to be a shame to not go all the way and make sure that not only will I get to 80 kilo, eat healthier and have exercise as an integrated part of my life, but also to transform my body physically not only to what it looked like when I was a teenager, but even better.

Maybe it’s a mid-life crisis, but there’s something appealing about sculpting my body at the age of 40 that I’ve never felt before.

A few days ago I sent Vince an email because I wanted to know his take on mixing his muscle building program with my own mountainbike training – would one suffer, would they both suffer of would it actually be beneficial to integrate the two. Yesterday I got a reply back assuring me that it was possible and on how to integrate the two.

One great thing about starting lifting weights is that my new job where I started this January have its own fitness center 2 minutes from my office – so I don’t have to invest in a lof of body building equipment or spend time getting to and from the gym.

Two challenges stand between me and a much more sculpted me – do I have what it takes to follow such a program and will I be able to convince my wife that it’s a good idea.

It’s no good if I think it’s a brilliant idea to become really attractive looking but my wife think it’s a load of bull and that she would rather spend that extra hour together with me in the mornings.

So, until I get my hands on Vince’s program I’ll just have to settle with all the neat free stuff I can get from his sites – and he’s got quite a good selection.
